Wendy David, a 33 year resident of South Lake Tahoe, is currently the senior case manager with CASA El Dorado in South Lake Tahoe. Married, with four children and two grandchildren, she is a passionate advocate for families and children. Wendy is serving her third term on the Lake Tahoe Unified School District Board of Education and seventh year as the Board President. Wendy has served on many boards and has been instrumental in the initiation of organizations focused on serving the needs of families in need. She currently serves on and facilitates the Lake Tahoe Collaborative, serves on the El Dorado Child Abuse Prevention Council, the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation, the South Lake Tahoe Cabinet of the El Dorado Community Foundation, and First 5 El Dorado. She is a volunteer cook and helped establish Bread and Broth, a free meal program, in 1989, and is a founding Board member of Tahoe Magic which helps families in financial need. Wendy was also a Teacher/Director of Tahoe Parents Nursery School, a cooperative preschool for 14 years. |
